Let me say that for so many years I have dreamed of something like this event being possible.On the night of the concert, I felt truly overwhelmed by not only the response of the four and ahalf thousand blues fans who'd journeyed to Liverpool from far and wide but with the fun weall had on stage. To play again with Eric after a gap of 38 years was like time had just meltedaway. By the time we came to the finale I was almost shocked to look at my watch and realizewe'd been on stage for two and a half hours!I foresee that there will probably never be a night like this again and so it's such a blessingthat it was all captured on tape and film for all of us to treasure in the years to come.John MayallTracklist: 01. Does it get any better than this? Canadian torch singer and pianist Diana Krall is in perfect form in this two-hour Paris concert, recorded in December 2001 shortly after the release of her CD The Look of Love. In her band, guitarist Anthony Wilson and bassist John Clayton get the lion's share of attention, but the entire ensemble (including lush strings from the Paris Symphony Orchestra) provides flawless support for Krall, whose skill on a Steinway is as impressive as her smoky interpretations of vintage standards and ballads. This is the story, told from the inside by the participants, of the creation of a masterpiece. The Dark Side Of The Moon is the album that dramatically transformed Pink Floyd from art house favourites to global stadium superstars. Prior to 1973, Pink Floyd had maintained a relentless gigging schedule and by the time they came to record a new album had already created the basis for what would become The Dark Side record. It would be the first album where Roger Waters would supply all the lyrics as well as the basic 'concept'. With the timeless qualities of its production and musicality, allied to the hypnotic evocation of its central themes - alienation, paranoia, madness, war and death, The Dark Side Of The Moon would become the album that would dominate the 70's and 80's (with a record number of consecutive weeks in the charts). Thirty years later it still strikes a chord with a new generation of music lovers. This programme takes a track by track look at the making of the 1973 album. All four members of the band at that time Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright are featured in exclusive interviews. Roger, David and Richard play songs and demonstrate themes from the album. Alan Parsons (the original engineer) takes us through the multi track tapes giving a unique insight into the musical fabric of the record and the programme is illustrated throughout with archive footage. Однажды летом 1978 года на нашем выпускном вечере в московской школе № 623 я попросил приглашенный для этого торжественного события ВИА (вокально-инструментальный ансамбль) дать нам сыграть. Ужасно волнуясь, я и двое моих друзей вышли и исполнили целых три песни. Если честно, больше нам не дали. Сейчас я помню, что одной из них была "Солнечный остров" группы "Машина Времени". После выступления я спросил у музыкантов из ВИА, как им понравилось. "Ребята, а не крутовато вам браться за такие сложные композиции?" - прозвучало в ответ. Прошло больше 30 лет. Сейчас я с уверенностью могу сказать - не крутовато! За это время я научился сам писать песни и мы вместе с группой научились их исполнять на концертах и записывать на пластинках. Не хочу и не люблю подводить какие-либо итоги, но этот концерт в клубе Stadium Live, самом большом рок-н-ролльном клубе нашего города, - определенный рубеж для всех нас. Мы специально выбрали эту площадку со стоячим танцевальным партером, хотя и Кремлевский дворец, и "Крокус Сити Холл" тоже бы подошли такому событию. Просто в 1980-е, когда для "Браво" всё начиналось, мы играли именно в рок-н-ролльных клубах. Так что традиции решено было не изменять. Иногда мне задают вопрос: "Какое ваше самое главное достижение на сегодняшний день?". И я с уверенностью на него отвечаю: "Наши в очередной раз помолодевшие поклонники".
